Dream Dance

toes like thunder toes like hooves toes like the most perfect diamonds toes to catch the air and hang on nothing I have them often under night's shade i step forth off skyscrapers off cliffs off tall domed ancient roofs into the thin air vibrating with the roar of cities and dance there toes stepping there and body gliding in curves twirl and turn spin canter playing my body to the grand music ringing in the night and I above the rest dancing beyond reach glorious in balanced swirl upside down knowing the air it kisses me as I balance as a surfer does riding the knife edge of the possible
