Moonless night. Meadow. Only light
Are flowerglows.
Horse and rider gallop a wild ring;
Hoof-blows

Trail a luminous spiral wake.
They spread
Orange indigo lemon plum cyan--all but
Blood-red.

Rider and mount--not master and beast
but mates
At an astral task: they generate
a spiral gate.

Ions in a cyclotron of flowers. Power
for what?
Energy crackles, builds in the swirl-
pool of light.

Into otherworld they'll charge, charged
with lightning life.

NOTES IN THE MORNING

Mount & rider circle, protective glow: as a kid I read Andre Norton's Three Against the Witchworld, a tale of siblings lost in a magical land who met green folk riding sentient deer--who could create such protective circles of blue-green light.
Many-colored flowers: today I read Samantha Shannon's The Mime Order, set in an alternate, fascist Britain. Rebels use Victorian flower symbolism as a code.
So I think this dream paints a portrait of dreamwork itself--the sleep cycle grows dreamflowers full of coded messages.
All hues but red: in the Witchworld books, bad guys used blood-magic glowing red. And in Mime Order, "astral red poppy" is a magical poison. So this hole in the spectrum is the dream reassuring me that dreamwork is nontoxic magic.
Why reassure me magic's not evil? Most modern fantasies, like Shannon's, treat magic as creepy and bloody. But my family's streak of real second sight isn't--I get tired and hungry, at times, but even after a hard day seeing inside you all, I crave... salad.
ACTION 1: Don't buy America's view of us psychics as creeps, parasites or frauds. Just stereotypes!
ACTION 2: Patience! Circling doesn't mean you're stuck. Building up power for a breakthrough takes time. Jung warned: dreams aim long.
