Figure drawing: Rain!

These studies were from photos, not a live session--the paper would've been soaked! I think it was a pictorial in a Playboy; my journal doesn't say. But it does name the model, Lorraine Michaels. The signature on one piece is dated "Winter 1981" in Chinese, but that was a later guess. Now that I've transcribed my journals I found the real date in seconds. Ah, digitality!

I drew these because Lorraine was cheerfully breaking all the Sacred Laws of Porn and Fashion (sorry, they're the same) by mixing her genuine sexiness with forbidden elements:

The pictures aren't that true to the original photos physically... just in capturing the mood, I think. But isn't that what matters?
