NIGHT MARE

I dreamed I was a feral mare: gentle, affectionate, sensual, but gone wild, wary of being tamed again. I do see nightmares differently now: I almost like them. Warnings from the wild one...

I painted this on my first digital "prepared canvas": a screen of invisible ripples, made of several colors which took color differently, though they all looked white to start with. So the ripples emerged only as I drew over them... I was trying to get past the limitations of a 16-color palette (all I had at the time. All anyone had, back then!)
