Flying and Levitation A-J (see also K-Z)

Without planes, I mean. A common dream theme, but I have to confess that I didn't think so, as a kid. In my dreams I never flew at all, and assumed it was a rarity. In my teens I realized, from listening to others, just how common it was. So I tried to fly in dreams. To my surprise, it worked--promptly and spectacularly. There's a lesson here, I think, and not just about dreamwork. Not every long-standing deprivation resists change. Some problems are pushovers, if we tried... but to try, you have to notice your poverty.

So dream-flying, for me, is about expectations--low or high. Mechanics matter too, of course--effort and skill may be needed. But under all that is the question: are you settling for a life that's (pardon the pun) pedestrian?

I've listed three flight dreams in planes but dreamt when planes were unheard of: Flying Machine, Sky-Boat and Plane over Oraibi. I've also list a few non-dream virtual planets like Lyr and Venus Unveiled where gravity and air pressure conspire to make dreamlike flight possible, where flight shapes whole societies--even whole species.
