I met two Ghosts--but they declared
"Really we are not--
Spirits of your Dead, that is--
We were Made without

Bodies Palpable"--at least
Sensible to Us
though Cats may hiss at Emptiness--
Scent the subtle Glass--

"Made not born--by Mage-cabal"--
I know one or Two--
so Phone a Witch--to my Astound
"your Spooks have Spoken True"--

Seems I have misjudged these Non
Ghosts who I believed
had forgotten Who they were--
No--they never Held

Stodgy Flesh--a Stellar Flash
Expanded to a Joy
to learn the world as Energy--
their Task is not to Die,

Let Go, Forget--no, none of that--
only like a Ghoul
if you See no other Slot
Fitting for a Soul

than Man or Ghost--you silly Beast
Mired inside your Meat--
Did you choose to Come--and Go?
I woke to face my Fate.
