TAROT: MEDIA MINDFUCK?

(The Two Of Swords): Tarot card, 3x5", 1978-1981, by Chris Wayan.

In the traditional Two of Swords card, the figure is blindfolded, holding two crossed swords--reminiscent of classic images of Justice, but looking more helpless... and lost.

I tried to echo this in my version with crossed TV antennae.

The night landscape out the window, in both my card and the older versions, represents the real landscape of the mind and spirit waiting to be explored, if the figure can turn away from media blindfolding.

The face of the moon, lighting the way, means the dreams and intuitions waiting to guide you on that journey...
