I changed the text from third person to first. From the spacing, it looks like Rick wrote it as "I", then changed it to fit his appendix on dreamwork,
which his dream-self narrates, referring to his waking-self as "he". It works in the book, but is confusing in an excerpt. My apologies to purists.
