I find I'm hairy. Bear-hairy. But shedding. Clumps of body hair tear out where'er I tug. Did fallout cause this fallout? Ugh. Pu- bic hair like a Black Power 'fro. Pull at the poodly pouf. Curls float, in flutterin' hanks. Feel fake. Ain't there an old word for a pubic wig? Ah, merkin, that was it. I fear what genitalia are lurkin' in the underbrush. Warily clear the merkin-veil. I'll soon bare who I really am. Or what.

NOTES IN THE MORNING

• Pubic hair: I proofread Roadie, a dream about a surreal Paul Delvaux painting of a sleepwalker who's nude, yet modest due to lots of pubic hair.
• Merkin: a real word, but obsolete (and ambiguous. Meant both "mushroom" and "pubic wig").
• Unsure just what's hidden in there: I also proofread Lena's dream The Hand Within My Hand; it mentions surgery intentionally creating ambiguous genitals.
• Clear away the merkin, to see what I am beneath: clear away my Amurrican-ness to see what I am beneath. If anyone. Or am I just a poodle? Sigh!
