Dreams of meeting intersexuals, or being intersexual yourself--hermaphroditic, ambiguous, or just unidentifiable as either male or female.

This isn't quite the same as simply dreaming you've changed sex or sexual orientation. For the vast majority of dreamers whose bodies really aren't physically intersexual, dreams that you're hermaphroditic or intersexual seem to be saying something else. But what? In my own dreams, discovering I'm intersexual has no consistent meaning I can see. Sometimes it just means "psychological balance", but just as often it seems to mean "ambivalence", and now and then seems to simply mean I'm different--strange. OK, I'll go out on a limb here: perhaps such dreams are a way of saying that a trait you think is psychological is truly physical, or at least biochemically based--and thus not likely to be argued away!

That's tentative, and maybe just me. But try it on for size.
