SILKY AT THE MIKE

32K, 480 x 500, 1990? Ink, 14x17", by Chris Wayan

I dreamed I was in a mixed-race family, and my sister took after the horse side. No hands, but could she sing!...

She moved to San Francisco and sang in clubs and open mikes...

She was a lot happier than in Idaho, except, as she complained to me when I visited, "where the hell does a mare go to get a date in this town?"

My sister the horse as a lounge singer.
