Lion

Dreamed c.1983 by Kenneth John Atchity

I dream I am flying
from treetop to treetop
a lion chasing me.

His face is familiar,
he's smiling at me,
he roars up each tree

from nearest to far.
My flight is his game--
he won't let me stop.

He leaps at my tiring
And death is his name.
Death is his name.
