Big Cats

Dreams of lions, tigers, leopards, pumas, jaguars, ocelots, cheetahs... and of course lion people, tiger people, etc.

My dreams admire cats and cat people for their independence, sexiness, and comfort in their own bodies. I've noticed that other dreamers often see big cats in more ambivalent terms, as potential man-eaters, even as nightmare figures. Maybe it has to do with guilt about your own predations. If you dreamt you were stalked by a lion, maybe it's just payback for that burger you ate (would that explain my immunity? I'm a vegetarian. Less guilt?) Or that sleazy deal you closed, you sneaky ol' predator, you! Who knows?

Or consider a third possibility--you really are being stalked by something big and toothy. That rival at work. A fatal disease. The brakes you didn't fix. The president you didn't fix.

Some dreams are flat-out warnings.
