Dreams involving my sister Miriel, an occasional but vivid psychic dreamer. She leads a busy life and hasn't cultivated dreams much, yet she still has startling dreams similar to mine. You can take it evidence for either a "shamanic gene" or a psychic link between siblings, whichever you like. Or both; that's my own belief. Intense dreaming or at least good recall may partly be genetic; and there is a definite link between Miriel and me--when a crisis hits one of us, the other feels it.

These dreams may be uncomfortable for many readers due to incest-tensions between Miriel and me. While never acted on in waking life, the theme shows up repeatedly in dreams. It wasn't purely sexual; I saw her as my soulmate. I wonder now if this was partly due to an already existing link, a link deeper than sex. It certainly works the other way round; I'm sexually attracted only to those I feel a psychic link with--and that's a small minority! Most people's spirits feel to me about as fun as tar or broken glass. Sigh...
