Astral dreams

Dreams and images of the astral plane--not just spirits, but whole spirit worlds. Different dream traditions treat these as symbolic or literal. I don't think it matters much, except to point out that regardless of your beliefs about their reality, only a stupid dreamer is rude to the locals.

This list also includes dreams of bad puns about hijacking astral you-know-whats (the most egregious example is Vertical Planes)...
